Boston's Historic South End

The Spring 2008 Traditional Building Design Challenge took place during the Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference in Boston, March 12-15, 2008 at the Hynes Convention Center.
Project Description
The 2008 Traditional Building Design Challenge focused on the largest Victorian residential district in North America, Boston's historic South End. The site is located at 419 Shawmut Avenue in Boston’s South End neighborhood. Presently the Protestant
Episcopal Diocese is located on the selected site. The site measures
75’ x 100’ and overlooks Blackstone Park.
