Storm Windows: Durability, Efficiency, and Noise Reduction
Lynn Bingham, owner of Phoenix Window, has been offering window rehabilitation, restoration, and reproduction services in Colorado for nearly fourteen years. After graduating from the University of Texas, School of Business at Austin, Lynn began an international business career working with people and traveling to places around the world. This love of culture, history, architecture, and peoples’ stories seemingly led her back to Colorado and her family’s heritage, and eventually she landed a business that could make a difference in her own native State. With a real passion for all things old and a conscious concern for our planet and energy consumption, Lynn’s company mission has been to help clients retain the original fabric and character of their vintage properties, preserve the embodied energy of their +100 year old windows, and reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions to help our planet. Lynn and her partner, Glenn Bingham, were awarded a US patent in 2013 for their invention of a truly “high efficiency” vintage style storm window system, helping to bridge that gap between preservation and energy conservation in a major way. Lynn is a member of the Window Preservation Alliance and the Attachments Energy Rating Council.
