Aaron merged the firm he founded in 2006, Ruby Architects, Inc., with Allison + Partners in 2014. He has attended numerous conferences in traditional building and workshops organized by the Preservation Trades Network to learn traditional crafts. These include timber framing, plaster gauging, tuck-pointing, stone-carving, slating, slaking lime and scagliola. With 20 years of experience working on projects of all types, his experience with historic properties is particularly strong. He holds a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Arkansas. Among his projects are the Restoration of Johnny Cash’s boyhood home, Campus Historic Master Plan for the University of Arkansas Fayetteville Campus, and a Historic Structure Report, Master Plan and Reconstruction of the 1840s Woolsey Mansion in Fayetteville.
