Phoenix Window Restoration
Phoenix Window™ is committed to preserving historic wood windows, reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions, and recycling materials whenever possible. Our company has successfully participated in hundreds of historic restoration projects, both commercial and residential, for buildings dated pre-1935. We specialize in restoring deteriorated and non-functioning wood windows, but more importantly we upgrade their energy efficiency and function to meet and exceed current needs, energy standards, and building codes.
In addition to rehabilitation services, Phoenix Window provides custom manufacturing of traditional style wooden windows, French doors, storefronts, storm windows, and screen products. Our “high efficiency’ storm & screen systems for vintage windows provide leading edge efficiency and functionality. These traditional style wooden storm systems are achieving less than .30 to as low as .20 whole window U-factors when installed over single pane vintage windows. Furthermore, the U.S. Patent Office issued patent no. 8,555,572 for our storm assembly with a weighted lower sliding panel and thermal pane glass units.
Our Mission is to preserve the character and integrity of historic properties by renovating and restoring original wood windows to full functionality, to provide energy efficient solutions as a viable alternative to window replacement, and to preserve resources by repairing and reusing original sashes, hardware, and materials whenever possible.
