Richard T. Connell, AIA is an architect and Principal at The S/L/A/M Collaborative in Glastonbury, CT. He has over thirty-five years of experience in campus master planning and building design for educational facilities across the nation. With a focus on independent K-12 schools, Rich has led design teams for projects on over 35 campuses. This experience has involved virtually every type of educational facility including those for academic classrooms and labs, libraries, performing and visual arts, residential life, student centers, and physical education/athletics. His projects have been recognized for their excellence by various professional organizations. Rich looks to advance master planning and design in support of creating innovative and pedagogically enriched educational environments. This has included lecturing on a variety of topics to educational organizations including the library of the future and trends in residential life.
