Course Description:
This course covers a wide variety of topics that all revolve around glass and how its properties and performance can affect human health, safety and well-being. It will detail the various types of glass, their production, performance attributes and the complex relationship between glass and building envelope design.

Speaker: Marty Lindley, with experience in store management and sales, joined Kolbe Windows & Doors in 2018. Marty was promoted to National Architectural Representative in 2021. Marty currently holds certification as LEED Green Associate and was previously a certified NACE Coating Inspector – Level 1.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop a working knowledge of the performance attributes of glass and insulated glass units.
- Realize how these items can enhance the total design process by providing tools & options to specify each opening and elevation for maximum performance and design intent.
- Understand the areas of occupant well-being that are directly affected by the glass specifications within a project.
- Learn how choosing glass options, along with well-designed, high-performing windows & doors can elevate the overall performance of the building envelope and entire project.
